International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT) and Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ:HAS) announced today a renewal of their exclusive interactive casino game licensing agreement through the end of 2014.
The agreement gives IGT, via their Interactive division based in San Francisco, the rights, in legalized jurisdictions, to continue distribution of online casino games created specifically for world famous Hasbro brands. IGT currently offers a wide-range of casino games based on Hasbro brands such as MONOPOLY, CLUEDO, BATTLESHIP, TRANSFORMERS and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS. The agreement also includes provisions for IGT to produce and distribute new games based upon additional Hasbro brands.
“IGT is delighted to have reached agreement to continue and also build upon our successful business relationship with Hasbro. IGT is well known for offering high quality online and mobile games, and some of the more popular games that we have produced are based on Hasbro brands,” said Gideon Bierer, executive vice president of IGT Interactive. “We look forward to developing new and innovative games that leverage Hasbro’s iconic gaming brands. The launch of MONOPOLY Plus this spring will feature exciting and ground-breaking innovation.”
